- Start the engine and let it warm up for about 15 minutes
Step 2
To start your chainsaw, bend over and place the bottom side of the bar on the stump. Lower yourself onto the ground so that you can cut as close to it as possible without hitting dirt or ground with a chain. Hold the throttle open at full speed until all wood is gone!
Step 3
The chainsaw should be held like a can opener to cut the stump. The bottom end of the saw blade is placed against and slowly made around, while pulling away in order to remove wood from the topmost part. That will help you get rid of that pesky stump as efficiently and effectively as possible!
Step 4
The flat section of the stump should be cut in a crosscut pattern. To start, throttle your chainsaw and make vertical cuts one to two inches deep along the length of the stump.
When you are finished with this setup, head over to an adjacent side and cut perpendicular lines at about half or full inch intervals parallel against what you just did before moving in another direction after completing each line all around it until your grid is complete!
This will help water erode what remains of the stump quicker, starting with slanted lines from one side then cutting vertical ones for about an inch or two deep every few inches until you are done!
Step 5
Use the chainsaw to chop away any remaining pieces of wood. Work in a grid-like pattern.
If you want to make sure the stump will be completely unseen after a while, take your time with it and trim away any remaining bits before grinding down what’s left. Rub dirt into the wood when finished so that all traces are erased from sight!
